Chinese New Year is one of the biggest and most celebrated festivals amongst Chinese communities in Singapore and around the world. Families gather together to meet the start of an upcoming year of prosperity and good luck.

The celebrations in Singapore begin a few weeks or even up to one month before the festival arrives: streets become nicely decorated with red lanterns and traditional Chinese music plays everywhere. Apart from all the fascinating activities and excitement during this celebration, Chinese New Year, at the core of it all, is a time of solidarity, a time to forgive and forget all grudges and sincerely wish peace and prosperity for everyone. 

The most significant part of Chinese New Year is the reunion dinner on the New Year’s Eve when families gather for a sumptuous meal. 

And what is a better way to celebrate than in a family bonding, cheerful way with tasty treats and delicious recipes? CULINARYON cooking studio in the center of Singapore is the best place for the whole families to get together and to enjoy the festival's atmosphere.

We've gathered yu sheng, canape and 3 delicious and traditional dishes for you, which we will cook together with our professional Chef.

Geraldinel: In a setting like those studios you see on cooking TV shows, you get to get hands-on and play a part in cooking delicious food from scratch, all whilst bonding with your friends or family. I got to make prawn bisque pasta (from the dough) and vanilla ice cream with my colleagues - we sure had a laughter and fun-filled evening!
Beatriz: The experience in Culinaryon was wonderful from the beginning. They took care of every single detail. The kitchen is beautiful and the class was educacional but also incredibly fun. Our chef Giuseppe was totally amazing! Our host Dasha was also wonderful and made sure everything was ok at all times. We will definitely repeat the experience!
